TIMESINDONESIA, DENPASAR – The recently concluded Bali & Beyond Travel Fair, held on June 14-17, 2023, was a remarkable experience for the team at Kawisari Coffee Farm Shop & Eatery Bali. The team were thrilled to support the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy booth by showcasing the award-winning Java coffee, sourced directly from one of the oldest plantations in East Java on June 16-17. It was an honor to be part of an event that promotes Indonesia's tourism products globally and fosters valuable connections between tour operators and tourism suppliers.
The Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) is Indonesia's premier international travel exhibition, serving as a platform to introduce and showcase the country's diverse tourism offerings to the world. With each edition, the event continues to grow in scale andimportance, solidifying its position as a catalyst for mutual business relationships, inspiration, and sustainable tourism development. The 9th edition of the BBTF held at the prestigious Bali International Convention Centre (BICC) in Nusa Dua, marked another milestone in its successful journey.
Tugu Kawisari Coffee is the oldest and the largest organic coffee plantation on Mt. Kelud in East Java. With stunning views of protected forests, waterfalls, and lush rice fields, this nearly 900-hectare plantation produces award-winning Robusta and Arabica beans. Their rich, medium-dark roast Premium Java Robusta with notes of earl grey and the beans are hand-sorted carefully, living up to the near zero-defects coffee beans reputation which has earnedTugu Kawisari Coffee the prestigious awards of agricultural products in AVPA Paris 2019 for its Medium Dark Robusta. They also recently opened their new farm shop and eatery in Canggu for an organic, farm-to-table coffee experience.
During the fair, we had the pleasure of meeting Bapak Sandiaga Uno, the Ministry of Tourism, and his dedicated team, which brought smiles to our faces. We also had the opportunity to connectwith Ibu Made Ayu, the deputy from Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism office, accompanied by our talented barista, Yoga. It was a moment of shared enthusiasm for promoting Indonesian hospitality and showcasing the finest flavors of Java coffee.
We are grateful for the support and recognition received at the Bali & Beyond Travel Fair. As we reflect on this memorable event, we are excited to continue our journey, spreading the joy of Kawisari Coffee and contributing to the growth and sustainability of Indonesia's tourism industry. (*)
