SAN DIEGO 2026 marks another significant milestone in the international flight training arena. Capt Dr Gema Goeyardi, ATP, an FAA Gold Seal and NAFI Master CFI, was invited as a featured speaker at the 17th Annual Conference of the Flight School Association of North America (FSANA), one of the most influential gatherings of flight school owners and industry leaders across the United States.

FSANA is widely recognized as the leading association representing flight schools and aviation training providers throughout North America. Its annual conference serves as a strategic forum where school owners, chief flight instructors, aviation educators, and industry executives convene to address policy, safety standards, operational excellence, and the future of pilot training. At this prestigious event, Gema delivered a session titled, Standardization That Scales: Aligning Procedures & Training Delivery for Consistent Outcomes". The session tackled one of the most pressing challenges in modern flight training: sustaining instructional quality, operational efficiency, and safety standards while expanding a growing training organization.

“Standardization is not about limiting instructors,”  Gema stated. “It is about building a system strong enough that quality does not depend on individuals, but on structure,” in his statement received on Thursday (March 10, 2026). With this invitation, Gema further solidifies his role as a global advocate for elevated flight training standards, contributing to the advancement of pilot education worldwide.

Standardization as the Foundation of Sustainable Growth
In his presentation, Gema emphasized that standardization is not synonymous with rigid or robotic instruction; rather, it is a safeguard for quality achieved through structured systems. He underscored how unmanaged variability within training environments can gradually erode student performance, operational efficiency, and safety margins.

Through a comprehensive framework built upon clearly defined procedures, monitoring systems, instructor development, and aligned training delivery, he introduced a scalable model designed to produce consistent outcomes across instructors and student cohorts. The central message of his session highlighted three foundational principles: organizations must rely on systems to scale effectively, structured processes mitigate human-factor risks, and consistency is essential to protecting training outcomes.

International Recognition of Professional Excellence
Gema’s invitation to speak at FSANA reflects his growing recognition within the global flight training community. He is internationally acknowledged as the first Indonesian to earn both the FAA Gold Seal CFI and the prestigious NAFI Master Certified Flight Instructor (MCFI) credential—an accreditation held by fewer than one percent of instructors worldwide.

As Founder, CEO, and Chief Flight Instructor of 14DAYPILOT Flight Academy, headquartered in Van Nuys, California, Capt. Gema has developed a structured, system-driven training organization that prioritizes measurable performance, standardized procedures, and instructional consistency.

“Being selected as a speaker at the FSANA 17th Annual Conference not only represents personal recognition, but also signals broader international acknowledgment of the innovative training leadership I have built over the past 10 years at 14DAYPILOT Flight Academy,” Gema stated.

In an industry historically dominated by Western institutions, this milestone affirms that professional excellence, structured methodology, and safety-centered leadership transcend geographical boundaries. (*)
